Job summary

EC Electric is seeking an on-site Electrical Construction Assistant Project Manager in Hermiston, OR. You will support the National Technical Systems Group with coordination across construction management and field staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with documentation, scheduling, budgeting in Viewpoint, and ensuring timely payments and billings. A strong reading of electrical drawings and collaboration with PMs is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating project documentation (submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes).
• Ability to supervise and direct activities under PM guidance; maintain policies and standards.
• Experience maintaining change order, submittal, and document control logs.
• Ability to interface with subcontractors to obtain Owner/Manual documentation and drawings.
• Ability to create Job Information Sheets and organize job files under PM/PX direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing project documentation (submittals, RFIs, minutes).
• Assist with supervising project activities as directed by PM; plan and coordinate.
• Maintain change order, submittal, and document control logs in Viewpoint.
• Coordinate with PM/PX on subcontractor documentation and manuals.
• Create Job Information Sheets and establish job files under PM/PX guidance.
• Possess temporary supervision duties in PM's absence.
• Read and understand electrical drawings and specs.
• Assist with workflow breakdowns with Field Supervisors/PMs.
• Help ensure timely project billings per contract and monthly.
• Assist in writing and submitting RFIs.
• Assist PM to ensure timely payments to subcontractors/vendors.
• Review/update construction schedules per PM/PX request.
• Assist in setting up project budgets in Viewpoint with Field Supervisor.
• Coordinate Payroll information submission with Payroll dept.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The position of Assistant Project Manager for our National Technical Systems Group is responsible for providing a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas, partnering with construction project management and field staff.

1. Assist with managing all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.
2. Assist with supervision and directing project activities as assigned by the PM including planning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained, etc.
3. Assist with the maintenance of all change order, submittal and document control logs within Viewpoint.
4. Assist PM and PX with interactions with subcontractors to make certain that we have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
5. Responsible for creating the Job Information Sheets and establishing job files under the direction of the PM or PX.
6. Assume temporary total project supervision responsibilities in the absence of the PM.
7. Able to read and basic understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.

Benefits

Salary range for this position is $80,000-$140,000 annually.
