Konik is partnering with an innovative engineering and manufacturing company to hire a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist focused on electrical components and connectors. You will manage supplier relationships, purchasing activities, and material availability while collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2+ years purchasing experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and purchasing activities.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems; INFOR ERP experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ERP and APS requirements to support purchasing decisions and production needs.
• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for electrical components and related commodities.
• Create and manage purchase orders while negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data and provide timely updates to internal teams.
• Partner with Engineering and Assembly teams to understand specifications and communicate requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance for on-time delivery, quality, and availability.
• Collaborate with Quality and suppliers to resolve material issues and corrective actions.
• Take ownership of assigned electrical and connector commodities and open POs.
