This role focuses on electrical systems across product lines, ensuring compliance with UL, CE, ATEX, and IECEx standards while supporting product development and manufacturing initiatives. You will work with mechanical, R&D, and production engineers to own key electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Drafting and modeling using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical controls, circuits, schematics and components.
• Familiarity with UL/CE/ATEX compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own UL, CE, ATEX, and IECEx electrical compliance across product lines.
• Maintain UL/ATEX files, drawings and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, R&D, and production engineering on electrical integration.
• Assist with electrical panel design and obsolete component replacement.
• Coordinate with vendors and assist with costing estimates and pricing.

AP Executive Staffing is partnering with a well-established, family-owned global manufacturing organization in Buffalo, NY to identify an Electrical Compliance Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of electrical systems, product engineering, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing. This individual will play an important role in ensuring electrical systems across multiple product lines meet and maintain applicable UL, CE, ATEX, and IECEx standards, while also supporting ongoing product development and engineering initiatives.

The Electrical Compliance Engineer will work closely with mechanical engineering, production engineering, R&D, technical service, and external vendors and will have the opportunity to take ownership of key electrical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain UL, CE, ATEX, and IECEx electrical compliance across relevant product lines


• Serve as the internal responsible person for electrical compliance, including certificates of conformance


• Maintain UL/ATEX files, drawings, and supporting documentation


• Participate in new mechanical compliance projects


• Serve as a product champion for centrifuge and vibrating motor electrical systems


• Support new and existing engineering projects, technical service, and production engineering


• Assist with electrical panel design and obsolete component replacement


• Partner with production engineering and R&D teams on electrical projects


• Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to ensure proper electrical integration


• Coordinate with vendors and assist commercial engineering with costing estimates and pricing

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology


• Experience with drafting and modeling using AutoCAD or similar tools


• Strong understanding of electrical controls, circuits, schematics, and components


• Previous familiarity with UL/CE/ATEX compliance requirements is highly preferred
