Job summary

Central Florida Tourism Oversight District seeks an experienced Electrical Inspector to ensure EPCOT Electrical Code compliance and state regulations. You will report to the Chief Electrical Inspector and work on-site in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

You will review plans, conduct inspections, advise applicants, maintain records, and participate in training. Five to seven years in the electrical field and Florida licensure (or provisional path) are required.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements and provide licensure within 1 year.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with public stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical plan reviews and inspections for EPCOT Electrical Code compliance.
• Inspect installations and equipment, report violations and return plans for correction.
• Consult with applicants and design professionals on code applications.
• Perform Annual Power Test visual inspections and identify safety hazards.
• Provide inspection reports and maintain records.
• Investigate incidents and verify post-incident safety of equipment.
• Attend required training and continuing education.
