Job summary

RTX’s McKinney, TX facility is seeking an Electrical CMC Manufacturing Engineer II to join the production support team. You will troubleshoot test failures, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions for complex radar products and test sets.

You will work with program engineers on ATFLIR, Harpoon, EODAS and related systems, using standard lab gear to support production, cost reduction, and process improvements. Any DoD clearance enables eligibility for this role.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with standard electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings or electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Investigate failure trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues.
• Support troubleshooting and repairs for circuit card assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies, and systems for programs at McKinney CMC such as ATFLIR, Harpoon, EODAS, etc.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting aids, tools, and documentation to support production and test processes.
• Work initiatives focused on reducing cycle time, minimizing touch time, and optimizing overall production costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges in production.
• Operate and utilize standard electrical equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, etc.) to support troubleshooting and system evaluations.
