Job summary

Micro Precision Calibration in Amherst, NH seeks an entry to mid-level Calibration Technician to calibrate a variety of test instruments across electrical, industrial, and temperature equipment. You will collect data, complete certifications, and communicate findings to customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities include performing calibrations, maintaining company standards, and assisting in safety and quality tasks while traveling up to 25% to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment
• Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools
• Basic mathematics understanding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and under supervision of Senior Technicians
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate a variety of test instruments.
• Collect calibration data and record information on data sheets; complete certifications including out of tolerance conditions.
• Continue to be trained in all aspects of Micro Precision Calibration Services and share knowledge with team members.
• Observe safety precautions and quality standards in task performance and comply with the company policies.
• Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers by phone, in person and via email.

Description

• Responsible for calibrating a variety of test instruments for one or more skill areas, such as:
• Electrical Equipment
• Industrial Equipment
• Temperature Equipment
• Perform standards maintenance & checking of company standards if assigned by Lab Manager
• Collect calibration data and record information on data sheets. Complete calibration certifications, including out of tolerance conditions.
• Continue to be trained in all aspects of Micro Precision Calibration Services and share gained knowledge and other best practices with other team members
• Observe safety precautions and quality standards in the performance of tasks and compliy with the company
• Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers on the phone, in person and through email

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Basic Knowledge of Mechanical and Dimensional equipment preferred
• Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred
• Basic mathematics understanding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work both independently and under the supervision of Senior Technicians
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Training

We accept applicants new to the calibration industry who are eager to learn

Work Environment

• Work performed in the local laboratory and at customer facilities
• Up to 25% out of town, overnight travel
