Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) is seeking an Engineering Drafter to perform mechanical, electrical, structural and topographical drawings using CAD and Hybrid Software under direct supervision.

This position requires a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years drafting experience with AutoCAD, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to work non-business hours during emergencies. Two years of experience as Engineer Drafter 3rd Class or equivalent is preferred.

• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years drafting experience, including AutoCAD.
• Two years of experience as Engineer Drafter 3rd Class or equivalent, required.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access, required.
• Must be accurate, neat, and reliable; valid driver's license; physical fitness to perform duties.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare mechanical, electrical, structural and topographical drawings using CAD/Hybrid software from sketches or catalogs.
• Draft according to company and national standards; check symbols, nomenclature, and terms.
• Assist in drafting work of higher classifications and select equipment/materials for projects.
• Revise or complete drawings from marked-up prints; prepare material lists and specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and take reliable field measurements and sketches.
• Train lower-classification drafters and check their work.
