Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years design work experience, or an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology.
• Must have Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• The Junior Designer will conduct engineering analysis to determine the adequacy of electric distribution system components.
• Design projects to reinforce electric distribution system components.
• Develop detailed construction drawings for work which includes drawings and instructions for the installation, maintenance, modification, or removal of system components.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to generate engineering prints and construction drawings.
• Update prints to capture current system configurations.
• Provide engineering support during system emergencies to maintain or restore service to customers.
• Selected candidates may be assigned to work in either the Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Westchester based on business needs.
