Job summary

Consolidated Edison, Inc. seeks a Junior Designer to join the Gas Engineering support section within the Design Engineering department in New York.

The role focuses on drafting and design using AutoCAD 2D or Micro Station, producing quality drawings and supporting documentation for various design activities. Applicants should have an Associate's Degree in a technical field or a High School Diploma with two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree (technical/science) in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Civil Design, Architectural Design or Pre Engineering.
• In lieu of an Associate Degree, a High School Diploma (or GED) and two (2) years of equivalent and relevant design work experience accepted.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with personnel at all levels.
• Proficient in drafting and design using AutoCAD 2D or MicroStation; 3D design knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design work with designers from other disciplines, engineers, and station personnel.
• Provide design field support during construction activities.
