Job summary

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) is seeking a draft­ing support specialist to prepare technical drawings and schematics from specifications and markups. You will use CAD software and consult with engineers to ensure accurate layouts and timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent engineering/engineering technology education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications from markups and verbal instructions using CAD equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers/designers to layout or detail components and systems and resolve design problems.
• Review specifications and drawings to assess factors affecting component designs and procedures.
• Modify designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production problems.
• Check dimensions of materials to ensure proper fit and function.
• Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views depicting relationships of components and assemblies.
