Job summary

SMS group USA is seeking a CAD technician to create Electrical Schematics in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical for modernization and new installations of furnaces, mills, and related metallurgical equipment.

Under supervision, you will modify diagrams, create new schematics from redlines, produce PLC cabinet layouts, link drawings into complete PLC packages, and assist Senior Designers while adopting new CAD methods.

Qualifications

Formal training in AutoCAD.
Basic understanding of Electrical Theory.

Responsibilities

Create and modify AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical schematics for automation projects.
Assist Senior Designers with portions of large complex projects.
Develop proficiency in the application of new CAD methods as they become available.
Modify existing AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical schematic drawings from redlined drawings and/or reference drawings provided by the Technical Systems Manager.
Create new AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical schematic drawings from redlined drawings and/or reference drawings provided by the Technical Systems Manager.
Produce PLC Cabinet and Control Desk interior and exterior arrangement drawings from redlined versions provided by the Technical Systems Manager.
Link individual schematic drawings together to form a complete package for an entire PLC Cabinet or Control Desk.
