Job summary

COMPA Industries is recruiting an Electrical CAD Designer to join a project at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, California, supporting the ALS-U Upgrade. You will develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, models, and documentation transforming engineering concepts into manufacturable products for fabrication and installation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience producing electrical CAD designs.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical and KiCad.
• Ability to produce manufacturing-ready electrical documentation.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems.
• Familiarity with electrical design standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical models, wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback and changes.
• Generate bills of materials, wire and cable lists for manufacturing.
• Produce design packages for fabrication, testing, and installation.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers and project managers.
• Maintain organized design files in Windchill or lab systems.
