Job summary

Dimplex Thermal Solutions is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to create and update 2D and 3D drawings, including schematics and assemblies. You will provide hands-on design support to Project Engineers and collaborate across the engineering team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities include producing project drawings, improving designs, and supporting various special projects while maintaining strong communication with team members.

Qualifications

• 2D and 3D CAD experience; AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude for electrical and mechanical system interaction and design.

• Work collaboratively within the engineering team to complete required project drawings on schedule.
• Positively contribute to the engineering process and develop alternatives for high-quality products and solutions.
• Implement process improvements and standardization around product designs and platforms.

Job description

This position is responsible for creating and updating drawings including schematics, components, and assembles in both 2D and 3D systems. Position provides hands‑on design support and expertise to Project Engineers and others in the company.

Required/Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• 2D and 3D CAD experience, AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred
• Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical system interaction and design
