Job summary

EMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Cabinet Assembly Technician to join the Electrical Assembly department.

You will assemble, mount, and wire electrical control cabinets following mechanical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing orders to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient production. You will verify connections, inspect completed work, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while supporting schedules and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in electrical assembly, panel/ cabinet assembly, or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with electrical components, wire identification, and assembly tools.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, measuring devices, and wiring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic computer skills for viewing work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical control cabinets per manufacturing orders and production schedules.
• Mount electrical components and hardware according to drawings.
• Wire components according to schematics, wiring diagrams, and specs.
• Route and secure wiring per workmanship standards.
• Verify wiring connections and component placement before advancing work.
• Perform self-inspections to ensure quality before transfer to the next stage.
