Job summary

Summit Construction Advisors seeks an experienced Electrical VDC/BIM Drafter to support BIM modeling and the coordination of electrical power, building and infrastructure systems. You will work with VDC leadership, project teams and field personnel to create accurate, constructible models and shop drawings.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of electrical BIM/VDC or drafting experience, strong Revit and Navisworks skills, and can read electrical plans and diagrams.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting electrical plans, specifications and single-line diagrams.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and BIM 360 for BIM coordination.
• Experience coordinating electrical power, building and infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical systems.
• Coordinate electrical models with mechanical, plumbing, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Prepare coordinated electrical shop drawings and installation documents.
• Review and follow the BIM Execution Plan and project standards.
• Participate in VDC coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors.
• Identify clashes and constructability concerns and help resolve them.
• Incorporate field feedback and changes into BIM models.
• Visit jobsites as needed to support coordination and installation methods.
