Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician. This role supports our construction teams through advanced 3D modeling and coordination. You will be responsible for creating detailed BIM models of electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and integration of various design data. Proficiency in BIM software is required, along with strong communication skills. The position allows for fully remote work or options at our Lexington, KY HQ or Greenville, SC office.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM software is crucial for modeling electrical systems.
• Experience with clash detection tools is advantageous.
• Understanding of construction methods and terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Integrate design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
• Identify and resolve spatial conflicts between building components.

Skills

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks

Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models

Sound understanding of construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to analyze and interpret design information

Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to create/modify basic Revit families

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines
