Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical background through apprenticeship or work experience as an inside apprentice or wireman.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar 2D drawing tools.
• Ability to apply project specifications and NEC code.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Effective collaboration with BIM designers, engineers, and project teams.
• Good communication and organization to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop precise electrical and low-voltage drawings, including equipment, cable trays, conduits, receptacles, lighting, homerun boxes, circuiting, and switches.
• Create detailed 2D drawings using Bluebeam to support accurate and efficient installation.
• Provide buildable drawings for BIM designers and project teams.
• Work closely with electrical BIM designers, engineers, and other discipline designers to integrate designs and avoid conflicts.
• Review project specifications, established electrical standards, and applicable codes, including the NEC.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and compliant with project requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to verify design intent, resolve discrepancies, and support constructability in the field.
