Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineering Support, Journeyman, to support the HC/MC-130 Recapitalization program at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. This role requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship, with travel around 10%.

The candidate will apply engineering principles to support system development, analyses, and lifecycle sustainment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across design, testing, and procurement. Full-time position on site at WPAFB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with three years of relevant DoD experience.
• Degree must be from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong engineering principles and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with industry-standard engineering tools, methods, and testing.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with commitment to ethics.

Responsibilities

• Apply multidisciplinary engineering expertise to support system development and lifecycle sustainment.
• Resolve complex technical issues across design, modification, and sustainment programs.
• Conduct technical analyses of design alternatives and system changes to support decisions.
• Review and validate engineering specifications, ICDs, and documentation for accuracy.
• Develop and review system requirements, engineering changes, and technical justifications.
• Provide technical direction for propulsion systems, sensors, and avionics to ensure performance.
