Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, OH is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with overtime as needed. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment, including PLC-controlled systems.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, maintain accurate records, and work with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability and plant productivity while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and other industrial control systems.
• Use electrical schematics, technical documentation, and hands-on diagnostic skills to identify root causes and restore operation.
• Respond to equipment issues and downtime with urgency to minimize disruptions and maintain plant productivity.
• Coordinate with OEM technical support and other resources for complex repairs.
• Take ownership from diagnosis through repair, follow-up, and prevention of future failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on critical production equipment and identify early signs of wear.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement.
