Job summary

Commonwealth Rolled Products is seeking an Electrical & Automation Specialist to join its Maintenance & Engineering team in Lewisport, KY. The role focuses on executing E&A projects, maintaining capital and maintenance work, and upgrading controls equipment for ABS.

You will work with PLCs, drives, HMI, and IT interfaces, develop specs, support safety and reliability, and contribute to continuous improvement. A BS in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of hands-on experience are expected.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of industrial experience.
Proficient in Siemens S7 & TIA Portal PLC programming (Ladder, Function Block, Structured Text).
Experience with drive control and automation troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Participate in maintaining zero-incident safety culture.
Define and apply E&A standards for plant projects and upgrades.
Develop specifications for E&A projects emphasizing safety, uptime, and lifecycle.
Support OT networks and plant IT interfaces.
Diagnose and resolve automation equipment issues to maximize uptime.
