Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking an Electrical AutoCAD Drafter to produce and maintain accurate electrical drawings supporting PLC control panel design, fabrication, and field installation. You will handle red-line revisions and create drawing packages including schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs in collaboration with engineers and shop staff.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD (Electrical preferred), strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple drawing

Qualifications

Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred).
Ability to read and interpret red-line markups, manufacturer datasheets, and installation instructions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy; drawings must match the panel as built.
Ability to manage multiple drawing packages and meet project deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication with engineers, panel builders, and project managers.
High school diploma or GED; drafting/CAD certificate or technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete electrical red-line markups from engineers and field technicians and incorporate them into AutoCAD drawings.
Create and revise PLC control panel drawing sets, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
Embed UL labeling and specification details onto drawings accurately.
Develop and maintain BOMs that match panel builds.
Verify drawings against physical panels and resolve discrepancies with QA/QC.
Generate wire and device label lists from drawings for fabrication.
Print, assemble, and issue drawing packages for shop, submittals, and field use.
