Job summary

ICON Electric is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent in Phoenix to lead field operations on complex commercial and mission critical electrical construction projects. You will coordinate crews, manage schedules, review drawings and BIM models, and ensure safety and quality on site.

You will work closely with the Superintendent to plan activities, monitor manpower, and deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to ICON's high standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
• Experience as Lead Electrician, Foreman, General Foreman, or Assistant Superintendent.
• Experience on large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, or mission critical/data center projects preferred.
• Strong NEC, OSHA knowledge and electrical construction practices.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and BIM models.
• Experience with power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, conduit systems, cable tray, and electrical equipment installation.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations alongside the Project Superintendent on large electrical projects.
• Coordinate electricians, apprentices, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity and schedules.
• Plan daily and weekly work activities and monitor manpower and production goals.
• Review drawings, specifications, BIM models, and installation requirements for quality execution.
• Identify constructability challenges and collaborate on practical solutions.
• Promote safety by ensuring OSHA compliance and site safety standards.
• Participate in daily huddles, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings with general contractors and trades.
• Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning, punch lists, and turnover activities.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and field logistics to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate field documentation, daily reports, and labor tracking.
• Mentor electricians and apprentices; step into leadership as needed.
