Assistant Project Manager

Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in project management?

The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. This client-facing role requires relationship-building skills both in and out of the office. The core responsibility is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer engagement, and technical training.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in estimating project scope and costs.
• Manage projects with subcontractors.
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors.
• Participate in project coordination and meetings with owners, contractors, architects, and engineers.
• Research and prepare change requests to resolve design issues.
• Recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts and errors.
• Monitor field and contract work for compliance with standards, procedures, and codes.
• Assist with the submittal process.
• Track and complete billing processes.

Required Education & Experience

• College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license.
• Understanding of electrical installations.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial construction or contracting.
• Electrical contracting assistant project management experience.
• Familiarity with computer-based estimating.
• Knowledge of billing and collections.
