Job summary

CEC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support electrical and general construction projects in Irving, TX. You will assist project managers with planning, cost control, subcontractor management, and quality control to meet client and company objectives.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction-related fields and 2+ years of coordinating construction projects, with knowledge of estimating, submittals, and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical or general construction project coordination or management.
• Journeyman Electrician’s License is a plus.
• Strong computer literacy and comfort with project management and estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with preconstruction teams to support estimating, cost control, and schedule development.
• Review and coordinate scopes of work with drawings, specs, and objectives.
• Prepare and review submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze pay applications, change orders, and other financial documents.
• Assist in subcontractor bidding, evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Support contract administration and monitor deliverables for compliance.
• Oversee time tracking and reporting with field supervision and admin staff.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors for alignment.
• Organize project meetings and address coordination, material needs, and labor concerns.
• Draft correspondence, reports, and other project documentation.
• Maintain vendor contacts, material specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with material procurement and delivery to field teams.
