Job summary

Aerotek in Wisconsin is seeking an Assembly Technician for 1st and 2nd shifts to assemble low and medium-voltage drives and transformers in a clean manufacturing environment.

You will work with a small team, read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and ensure quality and safety standards while meeting production goals. Shift times include 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. for 1st shift and 3:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m. for 2nd shift; contract-to-hire with potential for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of mechanical or electrical assembly experience with the same employer.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools and components.
• Hands-on experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• 1+ year of experience reading blueprints or electrical schematics.
• Ability to perform electrical assembly, including wiring and basic electronics assembly.
• Ability to follow detailed work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small production team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble low and medium-voltage drives and transformers per work orders, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Use hand and power tools safely to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to route, connect, and secure components.
• Perform electrical wiring and basic electronic assembly tasks.
• Work in teams of 2–4, coordinating tasks to meet production goals and timelines.
• Verify proper installation and alignment of components and make adjustments as needed.
• Follow SOPs and work instructions to maintain quality and consistency.
• Inspect completed assemblies for defects and adherence to specifications; report issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized workbench and contribute to shop safety.
• Adhere to safety policies including PPE requirements.
