Job summary

National Machinery is a world-class manufacturer of cold forming machinery. We are seeking an Assembly/Service Technician - Electrical to start-up, calibrate and test electrical devices on our machines, assemble control panels, wire components, and troubleshoot field problems.

Travel to customer sites is required, with potential for international travel. A 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, plus strong safety, communication, and problem-solving skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read schematics and use electrical test equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Must be safety-conscious for machine operation.
• Customer service mentality with overnight travel; some international travel may be required.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Attention to detail and quality focus.
• Self-motivated; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, calibrate and test electrical devices on our machines.
• Assemble electrical control panels, consoles and sub-assemblies.
• Wire devices on machines and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Travel to customer facilities; some international travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
