Job summary

Control Tech in Whitsett, NC seeks an Electrical Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and modify packaging equipment at client sites across the US and abroad. The role requires hands-on expertise and the ability to work independently in remote environments.

Expect 75–85% travel (roughly 280 days/year) after a 3–6 month training period, with travel paid and expenses covered; relocation may be required for training and international assignments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• 2-year technical degree or certificate in industrial automation/industrial electronics
• Proficiency in PLC programming with TwinCAT
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
• Valid driver’s license and passport for international travel

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and modify packaging equipment at client sites.
• Travel 75–85% (international after training) to install and service equipment.
• Work with clients to diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance.

I have a client based in the Whitsett, North Carolina area that is looking for an Electrical Field Service Technician. If you or any of your colleagues are interested in discussing this role,

In this position, you’ll be working with a company who manufactures packaging equipment. This person may require 3-6 months training internationally. After training, you will travel to client sites, both within the US and internationally 75-80% of the time completing electrical installations, maintenance, and modifications on packaging equipment.

This is a Travel Heavy Direct Hire Position.

Travel expenses will be covered.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
• 2-year degree (technical degree) or certificate in industrial automation/industrial electronics
• Proficiency in PLC Programming (TwinCAT)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
• Valid driver’s license (ability to rent vehicles/hotels)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Passport for international travel
• Willingness to travel 75–85% (average ~280 days/year) and relocate for training
