Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking an Electrical Assembler to join the IMT assembly team in Iowa. You will interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, complete pre-wiring for consoles and electronics, and install electrical options to meet customer specifications.

The role requires basic arithmetic, familiarity with electrical test equipment, and a high school diploma or GED. Candidates with heavy manufacturing or assembly experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing or assembly preferred.
• Must be skilled in at least twelve Electrical Assembler skills matrix quadrants.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for various product lines.
• Complete pre-wiring for console in cab.
• Complete pre-wiring for electronics in box.
• Install electronic options in both the cab and box of truck.
• Ability to make and install timer board in the box of the truck.
• Install special electrical options.
• Confers with Engineers, Quality Technicians, and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve issues.
• Ability to train / instruct team members on assembly procedures.
• Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
• Other duties as assigned.
