Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, an IMT division, is seeking an Electrical Assembler to read electrical/hydraulic schematics and perform pre-wiring for consoles, electronics, and truck options. You will install components in cab and box, train peers, and assist engineers in resolving production issues.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for various product lines.
  • Complete pre-wiring for console in cab.
  • Complete pre-wiring for electronics in box.
  • Install electronic options in cab and box of truck.
  • Ability to make and install timer board in the box of the truck.
  • Install special electrical options.
  • Confers with Engineers and Quality Technicians to resolve issues.
  • Train team members on assembly procedures.
  • Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for various product lines
  • Complete pre-wiring for console in cab
  • Complete pre-wiring for electronics in box
  • Install electronic options in both the cab and box of truck
  • Ability to make and install timer board in the box of the truck
  • Install special electrical options
  • Confers with Engineers, Quality Technicians, and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve issues
  • Ability to train / instruct team members on assembly procedures
  • Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears
  • Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires the use of simple arithmetic and some measuring instruments such as caliper, scale, and mechanical experience.
  • Ability to use basic pneumatic hand tools, pedestal grinder, electrical test equipment, wiring, metal and plastics, and crimping tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and previous heavy manufacturing or assembly experience required.
  • Candidate must be skilled in at least twelve (12) of the Electrical Assembler skills matrix quadrants.
