Job Summary
As an Assembler, you will assemble all heater unit product codes and fabricate necessary components as required per work order, blueprint, and engineering specification. This Assembler position supports the Weekend Shift that has a 3‑day work week with 12‑hour shifts.
Job Responsibilities
- Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
- Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
- Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
- Paints product as necessary.
- Installs and wires thermostats and other options.
- Fabricates bussing and solderes connections.
- Tests and adjusts electrical components.
- Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
Qualifications
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Certified in the following ASME brazing procedures: BPS‑B1, BPS‑B2, BPS‑B3, BPS‑B4, BPS‑B5.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Physical requirements: Regularly stand, use hands to handle or feel, walk or talk or hear. Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration. Noise level is usually very loud.
