Job summary

Aksa Power Generation USA in Willis, TX is seeking an Electrical Assembler to support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and casings using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment. Pack finished products for shipment and tag components.

You will participate in production processes, perform tests prep, verify panels comply with work orders, assemble options, and maintain production records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 1 year of electrical/electrical technology experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and 75 lbs intermittently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare generator sets for testing by performing electrical assembly operations.
  • Carry out work in accordance with the information in the work order.
  • Check compliance of panels with the work order and options list.
  • Assemble options for specially ordered groups on the assembly line.
  • Perform visual control on panels and electrical materials and notify supervisor.
  • Process production data entries in the relevant system.
  • Fill in production identification cards so work can be tracked.
  • Notify manager of materials to be returned to warehouse within the production area.
  • Take necessary measures to ensure tools and machines are maintained for long life.
  • Follow Quality, Environment and OHS rules in the enterprise.
  • Participate in training organizations conducted when needed.
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety precautions.
  • Share opinions, complaints, and suggestions about Workplace, OHS, Environment and Quality with the department manager.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in Quality Assurance, Environment and OHS Management Systems.
  • Take part in risk reduction studies.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly during production.
  • Fulfill every task given by the manager in line with production targets.
  • Follow the planned deadlines.

US BASED POSITION! Conroe/Willis/Houston, TX Candidates ONLY. The Electrical Assembler supports structures and installs components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro‑welding equipment. Pack finished products for shipment. Tag components. Adjust or repair electrical equipment. They will take an active role in the electrical assembly operations in the production process.

Job Responsibilities
  • Preparing the generator sets for testing by performing electrical assembly operations before the test
  • Carry out work in accordance with the information in the work order
  • Check compliance of panels of the groups taken to the assembly line with the work order and the options list
  • Assemble options for specially ordered groups on the assembly line
  • Perform visual control on panels and electrical materials to be put into production, and otherwise notify the supervisor
  • Process production data entries to the relevant system
  • Fill in the relevant fields of the production identification cards so that work can be followed easily and accurately
  • Notify manager of materials that need to be returned to the warehouse within the production area
  • Take necessary measures to ensure that hand tools or machines are used without deterioration for a long time
  • Comply with the Quality, Environment and OHS rules in the enterprise
  • Participate in training organizations conducted when needed
  • Be obliged to comply with all kinds of precautions and rules regarding Occupational Health and Safety
  • Share opinions, complaints, and suggestions about Workplace, OHS, Environment and Quality with the department manager
  • Identify risks and opportunities in Quality Assurance, Environment and OHS Management Systems
  • Take part in risk reduction studies
  • Use the work area clean and orderly during production

Requirements
  • Min. High School Diploma
  • 1 year experience in electrical, electrical technology, etc
  • Be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs. periodically during shift when necessary
  • Good verbal, reading, writing, and comprehension skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. continuously
