Compensation for onsite WA applicants is $30.83. All applicants are welcome to apply.

What can I expect in this role?

The Electrical Assembler will support AST by performing electrical assembly, testing, and repairing industrial machinery. The primary responsibility of this position is to support manufacturing operations onsite or in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble industrial machinery according to drawings, procedures, and instructions. Strong electrical assembly skills required; basic mechanical assembly skills are a plus.
  • Wire electrical panels per schematics.
  • Perform I/O checks on control panels.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Test machinery to ensure accuracy before shipping.
  • Drill and tap holes at assembly.
  • Redline engineered drawings when corrections are needed.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Participate in project meetings and field installations as needed.
  • Assist in developing procedures to improve quality and productivity.
  • Follow departmental procedures, maintain a clean work area, and organize tools and fixtures.
  • Ensure safety compliance, report hazards, and suggest corrective actions.
  • Travel to client sites for installation and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an electrical assembler or equivalent.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in made-to-order manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Quality-focused and able to meet productivity goals.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, honest, and thorough.
  • Good interpersonal skills and team cooperation.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various physical positions.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, and travel up to 30% nationally and internationally.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
  • Willing to pass pre-employment drug testing, including for marijuana and THC.
