Shift: Days 5:00am – 3:30pm M-TH
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 DOE
Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products.

Responsibilities
- Install electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products.
- Install outboard motors, inboard diesel engines, jet drives, and associated cables and wiring.
- Install fuel systems and filters.
- Fabricate and install main and auxiliary wiring harnesses.
- Install, interface, and connect components such as lights, radios, radar, sonar, heating and air conditioning systems, auxiliary generators, GPS, chart plotters, etc.
- Troubleshoot and solve challenging installations.
- Document or communicate installation information as needed.
- Set a positive example and assist newer Marine Systems Installers.
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding of 12V DC electrical systems, including crimping, soldering, and troubleshooting with a multimeter.
- Ability to layout, build, and install subsystems from schematics, including developing part lists, ordering parts, assembling components, and testing.
- Understanding of gasoline and/or diesel powerplants, including basic automotive mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with shop safety procedures and operation of hand/pneumatic tools.
- Understanding of ABYC standards (desired).
- Experience with Mil-Spec electrical systems and components (desired).
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and relaying information.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma (GED or equivalent).
- Three or more years of experience in a related field or equivalent education.
- Minimum of one year of experience working on SAFE Boats or similar platforms/products.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, kneel, crawl, perform repetitive motions, bend, climb, listen, hear, and have visual acuity.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
