Job summary

GE Vernova in Colorado is seeking an Electrical Cabinet Fabricator responsible for assembling electrical control cabinets from drawings and blueprints. You will use plasma cutters, drill tables, and hand tools to prepare cabinets and sub-assemblies.

The role requires reading and following engineering drawings, lifting up to 40 lbs, and performing wire termination and crimping. Overtime may be required; you will work with safety standards and cross‑functional teams to ensure quality.

Qualifications

  • Read, understand and follow engineering drawings/blueprints.
  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and work on elevated platforms.
  • Operate hand tools and wire termination equipment.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Willing to work overtime on short notice.

Job Description Summary

As an Electrical Cabinet Fabricator, you will engage in assembling electrical control cabinets based off drawings\\blueprints. You will be using various hand tools, plasma cutter, and drill table to compete the tasks.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Read and understand electrical drawings and procedures
  • Use plasma cutter and drill table to make modification to sheet metal
  • Assemble small and large sub-assemblies with components such as power supplies, IO packs, module boards, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, etc., according to drawings/blueprints.
  • Assemble control cabinet and components in cabinet based off drawings\\blueprints.
  • Perform electrical assembly activities, such as stripping, crimping, terminating wire.
  • Interface with supervisor and/or manager to give progress updates as required.
  • Maintain equipment & clean around work area.
  • Drive safety requirements/EHS guidelines and compliance with current policies
Qualifications / Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 1-year previous work experience in assembling cabinets or sub-assemblies.
  • Be able to read, understand and follow engineering drawings\\blueprints.
  • Be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
  • Be able to efficiently operate hand tools.
  • Be able to mount component, pull and terminate wire.
  • Be able to work on elevated platforms.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice, to meet business needs.

Additional Information

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $20.37 - $28.52/hour. Relocation Assistance Provided: No Application Deadline: October 30, 2026.
