We're Hiring: Electrical Build Engineer – Robotics & Automation

Location: Dorchester, Dorset

Up to £35,000 DOE | Permanent Position

Are you an experienced Electrical Build Engineer looking to work on some of the UK’s most exciting and advanced automation systems?

We’re partnering with a leading automation and robotics company in Dorset known for delivering bespoke, high-performance systems to major players in the aerospace, defence, and manufacturing sectors. As part of their ongoing growth, they’re looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Electrical Build Engineer to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Build and test complex electromechanical automation systems
• Read, interpret, and work from technical electrical drawings
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults with accuracy and efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and commissioning teams
• Travel to client sites for system installation (UK-wide, incl. defence sector)

Who You Are:

• HNC, electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in an electrical discipline
• Proficient in electrical schematics and industrial system builds
• Strong communicator with the ability to work independently
• Proactive problem-solver with knowledge of safety systems
• Comfortable with occasional travel and on-site client support
• Full UK driving licence required

Working Hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:00
• Friday: 08:30–16:00
• Flexible start/finish times available
