Job summary

C-TEC Solar is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to kick-start your career in the electrical trade. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on learning alongside experienced electricians on industrial and commercial projects, with exposure to installing, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic electrical theory.
  • Experience on construction sites or in construction-related roles is highly desirable.
  • Ability to handle low voltage and high voltage systems safely following NEC guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail when using testing devices such as ohmmeters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit installation, and other electrical tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to support project execution.
  • Conduct basic testing of electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality.
  • Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment by managing materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction projects, including framing carpentry tasks when needed.
