Standard Energy Solutions in Maryland is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join our growing solar team. You will work under the supervision of a certified electrician, learning hands-on installation and system troubleshooting on roofs and in electrical panels.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
• Pulling and terminating wire.
• Install electrical equipment.
• Assist Journeyman with installing and troubleshooting lighting, panels, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, inverters.
• Trace short circuits with a test meter.
• Check connections for loose insulation and tighten with hand tools.
• Maintain a clean work area.

Standard Energy Solutions is looking for a skilled Electrical Apprentice to join our growing solar team. Our Electrical Apprentice works under general supervision and direction from our certified electrician.

Pay range: $18 - $24 hour, based on experience.

Job Duties

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
• Pulling and terminating wire
• Installing electrical equipment
• Assist Journeyman with installing and troubleshooting lighting, panels, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, inverters.
• Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter.
• Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.
• Clean work area.
