Job Description

Primary Purpose

Train/educate apprentices at a specified level using effective planning, preparation, and organization for each class. Create a classroom environment conductive to learning where students are motivated to learn. Using formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress, provide regular, effective feedback, and measure student competencies based on instruction. Effectively organize, develop and deploy information using provided curriculum, resources and materials along with any instructor supplemented material.

Responsibilities/ Scope of Work

Use course syllabus based on NH Electrician’s Board curricula. Prepare for each class with a thorough understanding of the state approved text and lesson plan that will address objectives defined in the syllabus. Evaluate students’ knowledge and understanding, ensure students are prepared for classs by evaluating homework and assignments. Prepare maintain and administer quizzes and tests; assign and assess individual group projects. Maintain accurate records of each apprentice’s attendance and scores. Motivate and council apprentices to improve student outcomes and create a positive learning environment.

Terms

Employment based on a yearly contract of 156 Hours. The school year starts in September and ends in April depending on snow days, vacation days, and holidays of the district. Additional instructor meetings may be mandatory at the beginning and the end of the school year. Position Type: Full-time

Job Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications
    A current Journeyman’s license and three years field experience through current or previous
    employment in the electrical trades, or a bachelor in a related field. Excellent communication and
    problem solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment possessing
    clear communication technics of complex concepts and commitment to professional
    development.
    Desired traits:
    Master’s license with a minimum of five years experience in the electrical trade, or a bachelor’s
    degree from a four-year College or University in Electrical Engineering, with related experience in
    the industry. OSHA certification as an OSHA 10 training provider.
  • At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
