Job summary

PCL Construction in Pecos, TX is seeking an Electrical Apprentice (Year 1–Year 3) to gain hands-on experience under licensed electricians. You will assist with installation, maintenance and repair of wiring, fixtures and equipment on site.

The role is based in Pecos with a 6/10 schedule, 10 hours per day, Monday–Saturday. Eligible travelers may receive a per diem of $200/day. PCL sponsors apprenticeship enrollment and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or willing to enroll.
• Understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration and learning.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and rugged construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Help install and repair wiring systems, electrical fixtures, and equipment.
• Installing conduits including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel to hold electrical wires and cables
• Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
• Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC’s, instruments, and junction boxes).
• Learn to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, blueprints, and electrical codes.
• Have good basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC.

Job Overview

An Electrical Apprentice (Year 1 & Year 3) work under the supervision of licensed electricians to gain hands‑on experience and knowledge in the field. Is responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks including installation, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Positions are available in Pecos, Texas

Compensation

$26 - $34 / hour for Electrical Apprentices. Final pay is based on experience and skill level.

Schedule

Monday–Saturday: 10 hours per day (6/10 schedule).

Per Diem: For eligible travelers, a per diem of $200 per day worked is available. Restrictions apply.

Job Functions
