Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor in West Point, VA to lead E&I technicians, promote safety, and optimize uptime and maintenance costs. The role emphasizes leadership, reliability tools, and hands-on troubleshooting for complex equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of supervisory experience in a paper industry setting or equivalent, with strong PLC/DCS knowledge (Rockwell, Honeywell, Valmet) and familiarity with OSIsoft Pi data

Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor (E&I)

E&I Maintenance Supervisor – West Point, VA

Career Opportunity:

This position is responsible for: the safety, training and assignment of work for E&I technicians; maintenance spending (along with the other members of the maintenance and operations teams); technicians conducting themselves in accordance with all corporate, division and mill rules and procedures; adhering to and promoting established Work Management process; maintaining the equipment in the area in such a way that the equipment has the maximum possible uptime at the lowest possible cost. Expected to lead troubleshooting efforts when needed on the equipment in his/her area.

What you need to succeed:

• Experience in a manufacturing leadership role required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (engineering or technology arena), ten years or more of supervisory experience in Paper Industry will also be considered.
• Model safe work practices and behaviors in all you do. Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC.
• Proven Leadership skills in developing strategies to attain performance objectives required.
• Experience using Reliability tools such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) preferred.
• Experience or working knowledge of PdMA or Baker motor testing.
• Transformer Doble and oil analysis.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S.
• Solid PLC and DCS background (Rockwell, Honeywell, Valmet).
• VFD AC and DC drive experience (GE, Toshiba, Rockwell).
• Competent using OSIsoft Pi data historian.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Supervisor adheres to all mill safety rules, participates in or may lead safety programs and meetings with the goal of improving safety at the mill. Supports the mill safety programs.

The salary range for this position is $93,000.00 - $155,000.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 15 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your pay will be based on factors such as your skills, experience, and education.
