Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent for night/day shifts in Wilson/Cary, NC. You will lead on-site scheduling, ensure the right materials and personnel are in place, and uphold safety and quality on a major project.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in construction and as an electrical superintendent, with strong communication, planning, and collaboration skills to drive client and design reviews and successful turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 8 years of construction site experience
• 8 years of experience as an electrical superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead daily scheduling and planning at the project site.
• Ensure materials, equipment and manpower are available to get the job done.
• Prioritize safety, health and well‑being of the team and environment.
• Lead client and construction meetings.
• Coordinate walkdowns and reviews with owner and designers.
• Attend constructability reviews.
• Oversee turnover process including TOPs, punch lists and walkdowns with contractors and owners.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred

Here’s what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 8 years of construction site experience
• 8 years of experience as an electrical superintendent

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Collaborating in planning, design, construction and commissioning
• Excellent communications skills
• Proficient in use of software as Power Point, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, ACC
• Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns and meetings and/or reviews with owner and designers
• Attend constructability reviews
• Lead client and construction meetings.
• Safety leader (JHA’s revision / daily signed off permits)
• Quality in construction Turn over process including TOP’s, punch list and walkdowns with contractors and owners.

The base salary range for this position is $93,500.00 to $156,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
