Specialty Granules LLC is hiring an Electrical & Controls Technician for our Ione, CA Plant. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment across plant and offices, with cross training opportunities and potential for advancement. Overtime and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• May perform basic mathematical operations and charting or record keeping.
• Able to read service manuals, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work well with other employees.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for electrical installation/repair.

Responsibilities

• Repair, rebuild, install and demolish plant electrical equipment and machinery as directed.
• Diagnose and correct trouble in electrical units and controls.
• Ensure quality of work and safe operation of all tools and equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety in the work area.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $46.54/hr

Shift- 7pm-7am

Essential Function: Install, maintain and repair a wide variety of electrical equipment throughout the plant and offices.

Core Competencies:

• May perform basic mathematical operations and statistical charting or other record keeping
• Ability to work from service manuals, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions
• Ability to work well with other employees
• Must possess ability with hand/power tools and test apparatus in connection with electrical equipment installation/repair

Job Responsibilities:

• As directed, performs activities associated with repair, rebuilding, installation and demolition of the plant’s electrical equipment and machinery, including motors, panels, generating equipment, lighting circuits, communication systems, etc.
• Diagnose and correct trouble in electrical units and controls
• Responsible for quality of work and the safe operation of all tools and equipment under his/her control
• Responsible for good housekeeping and safety inspection of work area
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Hourly Rate: $46.54
