Specialty Granules LLC’s Ione, CA plant is looking for a dependable Maintenance Mechanic to keep our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently.

You’ll work the night shift, 11:00pm–7:00am, with overtime and a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and PPE provided. A strong mechanical aptitude and welding experience are valued assets. Base pay starts at $43.76 per hour with shift differential.

Pay Rate: $43.76/hr - shift differential applies --- night shift, 11:00pm-7:00am

Basic Qualifications Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Stick welding

Qualifications

• Competent in troubleshooting, repair and operation of mechanical systems
• Basic understanding of preventative maintenance practices and schedules
• Capable of safely performing maintenance work using hand and power tools
• Basic understanding of plant electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, pumps, bearings, and mechanical drives
• Able to replace electric motors, switches and wires as required
• General knowledge of facilities maintenance
• Welding and fabrication experience, stick welding required.
• Ability to operate fork lift to unload parts and conduct maintenance work

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Prolonged standing
• Extended regular hours
• Capable of kneeling, stooping, bending and crawling around machinery to perform work up to 7 hours per day
• Capable of verbal communication with supervisor and technicians

Work is performed in enclosed facilities and outdoor areas where extremes of heat, cold, dust, noise, wet conditions and rough terrain exist.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
