Job summary

SECO Energy is seeking a Safety & Technical Training Specialist to coordinate and deliver safety and technical training for trades personnel. The role focuses on work methods, safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous safety improvement within the cooperative.

The position requires OSHA 30, extensive safety experience, and willingness to travel across service areas. Strong classroom and field training skills are essential, with a Florida driver’s license for regular company vehicle use.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Two-year associate degree in safety or related field.
• Minimum: OSHA 30 Certification
• Minimum: NSC defensive driving instructor
• Minimum: CLCP certification
• Preferred: Four-year Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and deliver safety, health, work methods, and regulatory training.
• Promote and support RESAP and coordinate on-site inspections.
• Lead investigations of workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and liaise with authorities and external safety organizations.
• Maintain accurate safety training, inspections, audits, and incident records.
