Job summary
FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Planner Scheduler to cover the Norther New Jersey Region from Summit, NJ. You will plan and schedule short-range operational activities, coordinate with supervision, and support resource allocation to maximize productivity.
The role requires a degree in engineering technology or related field with 0–2 years of experience, plus proficiency in SAP, GIS, and related tools. Travel to multiple facilities is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related discipline; 0–1 years related work experience.
- In lieu of bachelor's degree, minimum of 2 years related work experience.
- Related work experience includes customer service and planning/scheduling/prioritizing work.
- Proficiency with SAP, GIS, CREWS, CLICK, PowerOn, CAD/AutoCAD and related tools.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a solid commitment to safety and reliability in daily activities.
- Plan and schedule short-range and two-week/one-month work plans for operations.
- Coordinate with operations to assign crews, equipment, materials, and permits.
- Provide management with daily work plans, contingencies, and progress updates.
- Assist during emergencies and travel to various FirstEnergy locations as needed.
