Job summary

Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Designer to join our Energy-Electric team in California. You will design and analyze overhead and underground electric utility lines, produce drawings, prepare GIS maps, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The role requires experience in electric utility design, knowledge of codes, and the ability to support junior designers. Hybrid work location in El Centro, CA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of electric overhead/underground utility design experience.
• Proficiency with overhead design software; O-Calc preferred.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide technical support to junior designers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review overhead and underground design packages.
• Prepare construction drawings, materials inventory, and GIS maps.
• Apply knowledge of design standards and industry practices to ensure reliable designs.
• Review documents for accuracy and address discrepancies.
• Provide concise comments and justifications for design deficiencies.
• Support junior designers and contribute to department goals.
• Occasional fielding on projects as needed.
