Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Professional to support utility clients through planning, routing, siting, permitting, and stakeholder engagement on transmission projects. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, perform route evaluations, lead portions of client meetings, review deliverables, and help keep projects on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, geography, environmental science, engineering, natural resources, real estate, public policy, or related discipline.
• 4–8 years supporting electric transmission or linear infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and reviewing consultant deliverables.
• Working familiarity with utility siting, transmission permitting, agency coordination, landowner outreach, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong technical writing, problem‑solving, prioritization, and GIS/project‑management tool skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute route, site, and constraint evaluations; apply professional judgment to identify opportunities, data gaps, and alternatives.
• Support landowner outreach, property research, access coordination, and right‑of‑way activities.
• Lead portions of client meetings, agency consultations, stakeholder discussions, and field activities
• Review junior staff work, providing task‑level direction, coaching, and quality control
• Recommend solutions to routine technical, coordination, and project‑management challenges while maintaining budget and schedule awareness.
