Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Professional in the United States to support utility clients through planning, routing, siting, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.

You will contribute to siting of overhead/underground lines, substations, and interconnections, leading workstreams and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, regulatory, and real estate disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in planning, geography, environmental science, engineering, natural resources, real estate, public policy, or related discipline (advanced degree/ certification beneficial).
• Strong technical writing, problem solving, prioritization, and GIS/project-management tool skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and reviewing consultant deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute route, site, and constraint evaluations; apply professional judgment to identify opportunities, data gaps, and alternatives.
• Support landowner outreach, property research, access coordination, and right‑of‑way activities.
• Lead portions of client meetings, agency consultations, stakeholder discussions, and field activities.
• Review junior staff work, providing task‑level direction, coaching, and quality control.
• Recommend solutions to routine technical, coordination, and project‑management challenges while maintaining budget and schedule awareness.
