Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. seeks a Construction Coordinator to oversee electric and/or communication construction projects, coordinating with pole owners, subcontractors, and engineering teams. This role tracks progress, manages finances, reviews designs, and ensures safety and quality on site.

The position is an individual contributor role, with work in office, remote, and/or field settings, and involves 25% travel for on-site job duty training, projects, or meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires high-school diploma with 3+ years in electric utility or telecom or a Bachelor's in engineering with 1 year of industry experience.
• Professional certificates/licenses as required by project.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and data entry.
• Strong communication skills for written and verbal tasks.
• Able to perform moderately complex arithmetic and follow detailed instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR; must pass Davey Driver’s Safety Course.
• Preferred: CAD/Outside Plant engineering software, PLA software, and work management tools.
• Preferred: 5 years of electric utility or telecom experience.
• Preferred: OSHA 1910.269 training (provided as required).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between engineering stakeholders, subcontractors, and the pole owner.
• Track project status and manage financial aspects to ensure milestones are met.
• Review construction designs and create cost estimates using a predefined template.
• Plan and execute daily tasks while meeting quality, time, and budget targets.
• Distribute bid requests to approved contractors.
• Report post-construction inspection results and monitor pending estimates.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on project activities and status.
• Identify and obtain necessary permits from authorities.
