Job summary

Devine Management Consulting seeks an Electric Motor Winder Technician to inspect, test, and rewind copper windings for electro-mechanical devices in a hands-on workshop.

You will manufacture windings, inspect for wear, apply insulation, perform soldering/brazing, and complete electrical tests to standards, with relocation for Corpus Christi, TX area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience winding electrical and copper coils specifically in industrial motors.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical theory, motor schematics, and EASA repair standards.
• Proficient in copper/coil wire sizing using micrometers/calipers, plus demonstrated soldering, brazing, or welding capabilities.
• Physical ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect coils and windings to identify damage or wear.
• Manufacture and shape form-wound or random-wound copper coils using winding machines.
• Strip old windings and insert new copper coils into lamination slots with exact connection data.
• Apply insulation materials, tie coils, and make secure electrical connections via soldering, brazing, or welding.
• Varnish windings, bake, and clean coated components and threads.
• Perform electrical testing (resistance, insulation integrity, continuity) and document repair specifications.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Winder Technician to inspect, test, and rewind copper and coil windings for various electro-mechanical apparatus (EAs). In this hands-on workshop role, you will perform precision coil manufacturing, strip and insulate motor components, and ensure all repaired equipment meets rigorous electrical and mechanical standards.

• Corpus Christi, TX area (Must reside in or relocate to the area)
  • Relocation & Bonus package: up to $3,000relocation reimbursement + $1,950 housing assistance + $1,000 Day 1 sign-on bonus + $1,500 at 90 days + $1,500 at 180 days

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and Diagnose: Inspect coils and windings of electro-mechanical apparatus (EAs) to identify damage or wear.
• Coil Manufacturing: Manufacture and shape form-wound or random-wound copper coils using automatic or manual winding, spreading, looping, and tensioning machines.
• Rewinding and Assembly: Strip old windings without damaging cores, and insert new copper coils into lamination slots according to exact connection data.
• Insulation and Connections: Shape winding heads, apply insulation materials, tie/block coils, and make secure electrical connections via soldering, brazing, or welding.
• Varnish and Baking: Apply insulation varnish, dip and bake windings, and clean coated fits and threads.
• Testing and Documentation: Perform electrical testing (resistance, insulation integrity, continuity) to international standards and record detailed repair specifications.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience winding electrical and copper coils specifically in industrial motors.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial electrical theory, motor schematics, and EASA (Electrical Apparatus Service Association) repair standards.
• Skills: Proficient in copper/coil wire sizing using micrometers/calipers, plus demonstrated soldering, brazing, or welding capabilities.
• Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
